Although having children is one of the most rewarding experiences of a woman’s life, pregnancy can take a significant toll on a woman’s body. For that reason, more and more women are choosing to have mommy makeover surgery, or post-maternity breast and body reshaping. This operation consists of a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) and some form of breast surgery; most often breast augmentation with or without a breast lift (mastopexy). Some women also opt to have liposuction as part of their mommy makeover.
“Mommy makeovers must be individualized to the needs of each patient,” says Dr. Sadati. “One women may be best served with a breast augmentation and another with a breast lift. Another may need a full tummy tuck and another a mini tummy tuck. One operation truly does not work for all patients.”
Despite the differences faced by each patient, certain trends are visible among patients. With pregnancy, most women experience significant changes to their abdominal walls. Not only can they see extra fat and skin, but also they can suffer from abdominal wall muscle separation and irreversible skin injury, often visible as stretch marks. Diet and exercise usually does not improve hanging abdominal skin and bulging bellies. Even liposuction does not adequately treat this, as it only removes extra fat but does not address the muscle and skin problems. A tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) involves excising the extra skin, tightening the muscles, and re-shaping the belly button, which can create a flatter, more youthful abdomen.
Many women also lose volume from their breasts after pregnancy, resulting in smaller, droopier breasts. These women can benefit from breast augmentation, in which either a saline or silicone-filled breast implant is placed within the breast to make the breasts larger. The location of the incision varies from patient to patient, as does the location of the implant relative to the chest wall muscle. Some patients also have downward pointing nipples; these women need a breast lift (mastopexy), with incisions made around the areola (pigmented skin surrounding the nipple), and sometimes extending vertically down to the breast crease in the shape of a lollipop. The combination of a breast lift with breast implants can restore fuller, shapelier breasts.
Liposuction also can be a major component of a mommy makeover. Commonly targeted areas include the inner and outer thighs, love handles, arms, back, calves and ankles.
Combined tummy tuck, breast augmentation, breast lift and liposuction is performed commonly. Patients should anticipate surgery taking between 4 to 8 hours and needing 2-6 weeks to recover from surgery.
A recent study from the ASAPS shows a significant increase in surgical and non-surgical aesthetic enhancement procedures between 1997 and 2008. One of the most popular procedures performed was the tummy tuck (abdominoplasty), indicating the age-old desire for many men and women to have a flat, smooth abdomen. Unfortunately, the abdominal region is one of the toughest areas of the body to flatten and tone. Sometimes even a healthy diet and regular exercise do not yield the desired results. People considering tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) in California may wonder if plastic surgery is the right solution for their needs. Cosmetic surgeon Dr. Kevin Sadati, practicing in Orange County says he knows how men and women can achieve a trimmer, shapelier stomach when stubborn fat and excess skin won’t go away through traditional means.
Dr. Sadati says one important factor to consider right away is that the tummy tuck is not intended as a weight loss procedure. The tummy tuck should only be considered by men and women who have tried to tone their midsections through diet and exercise but have still noticed little to no improvement. Although it is important to determine if dieting and exercise can have an effect on the shape of the abdomen prior to surgery, Dr. Sadati says men and women should not feel guilty if these methods fail to work. Fat deposits that accumulate in the abdomen are often very unresponsive even for those who follow a rigorous workout regime.
One of the most qualified and highly regarded cosmetic surgeons in Orange County, Dr. Sadati says tummy tuck and mini-tummy tuck procedures can give patients the flatter, smoother stomach that they’ve always wanted, and help them achieve an athletic-looking midsection. Once patients are as close to their ideal body weight as possible, Dr. Sadati says a traditional tummy tuck procedure can be an excellent solution for those who have excess abdominal skin above and below the belly button. On the other hand, the mini tummy tuck may be appropriate for men and women with excess skin below the belly button but not above. In both procedures, the abdominal muscles are tightened, excess skin is removed, and, if necessary, fat deposits are suctioned away via liposuction. Because the traditional tummy tuck requires a larger incision, Dr. Sadati says these patients should plan for a longer recovery time than mini tummy tuck patients.
Some men and women may be especially good candidates for the tummy tuck procedure. Those who have undergone weight loss surgery can benefit from having their abdominal muscles tightened and excess skin removed during a tummy tuck. Also, many new moms are appropriate candidates for a tummy tuck procedure to reverse some of the physical effects that pregnancy has had on their bodies.
In addition to tummy tuck surgery, Dr. Sadati also offers a range of other procedures – such as breast enhancement, facial rejuvenation, and laser skin treatments – that are designed to help women and men achieve the look they want and feel better about their appearance.
What is a mini tummy tuck? Officially called a partial abdominoplasty, a mini tummy tuck simply removes unwanted skin and fat from the area below the navel. This type of procedure has substantially increased in popularity. A full tummy tuck, by contrast removes skin and fat from the entire abdominal area. A mini tummy tuck is a good option if there is not a lot of excess skin to remove, and the patient is interested in minimizing a bulging lower abdomen.
After pregnancy, the lower abs, or rectus abdominus muscles are stretched and the laxity may remain, emphasizing a lower abdominal bulge. The mini tummy tuck is a popular option for women seeking to return to pre-pregnancy abdominal firmness. A mini tummy tuck is also a good option for men looking to reduce excess tissue after weight loss or even gastric bypass surgery.
The mini tummy tuck generally has a smaller incision than the full tummy tuck, and the patient recovery time is quicker. The procedure for a mini tummy tuck involves a small incision above the pubis, and liposuction or body contouring is usually performed to remove excess fat. The lower abdominal muscles are tightened, and the belly button must be unattached and reattached. Today, there are “signature” belly buttons being advertised, such as “Newport Beach belly button”. This provides a tighter, flatter belly button post surgery. Once the contouring is complete and the muscles tightened, a small flap of skin is lowered to meet the incision point, and the resulting scar can be as small as 2 inches.
Because less work is involved, the price of a mini tummy tuck can be up to 50% cheaper than a full tummy tuck. The average cost for the mini tummy tuck is around $2500. On average a mini tummy tuck procedure takes under 2 hours and the recovery time is also much faster than the full tummy tuck. After a consultation with the surgeon, he or she will be able to determine if a mini tummy tuck is right for you. If there is a substantial amount of loose skin to remove, a full tummy tuck might need to be performed.
All tummy tucks will leave a scar, but the mini tummy tuck generally leaves only a small scar above the pubis, whereas the full tummy tuck can leave significantly larger u-shaped or w-shaped scars as well as scarring above the belly button. With a mini-tummy tuck, the cost of the procedure is much cheaper and recovery time greatly reduced. You might consider a mini tummy tuck if liposuction is not enough and a full tummy tuck is more surgery than you need.
It’s the talk of the town, on play dates and in car pool lines – Newport Beach moms want to look better. There are exercise programs, diets and cosmetic procedures customized for post-childbearing women, but they also have questions about so-called “mommy makeovers.”
Dr. Kevin Sadati, medical director of Gallery of Cosmetic Surgery, has the answers. During pregnancy, he explained, a woman’s body goes through a dramatic change. Sagging breasts and loose stomach muscles are resistant to springing back after the child is born, even with diet and exercise. Newport Beach Mommy Makeover is an enhancement that improves a woman’s appearance.
Q: How fast is recovery, and when can I pick up my baby again?
A: Limitation may vary. Tummy tuck patients can start walking in the neighborhood once they get home from surgery. They can drive usually 1 week after surgery, and they can pick up their baby a few weeks after surgery. They can return to the gym to exercise and do heavy lifting in 5-6 weeks. Breast lift and implant patients can walk also when they get home and drive once they have stopped taking pain meds, usually within 1 week after surgery, and they can resume lifting their baby and exercise at 4 weeks.
Q: What makes a mommy tummy tuck different than one for a person who was not pregnant?
A: In women who have had children, the muscles have more of a tendency to separate in the midline compared to those who have never been pregnant. This creates a tendency to form a bulge in the middle of the abdomen upon straining. Also there are more stretch marks, and both of these things are the focus of repair when performing a “mommy tummy tuck.”
Q: How soon do you recommend plastic surgery after delivery?
A: I personally feel women need to wait at least 12 months after delivery before having any plastic surgery of the abdomen or breast. This allows for retained fluid to go away and the hormone levels to decrease to normal, which gives a more predictable and safer cosmetic result.
Q: Are women able to breast feed after a breast lift?
A: As with breast reductions, at least 50 percent of women should be able to breast feed after a breast lift. There are many techniques available to perform a lift, and the ability to retain sensation to the nipple and to breast feed depends upon the amount of breast tissue left attached to the nipple/areola complex when moving the nipple to its new position.
Tummy tucks, breast augmentations and breast lifts after childbirth are becoming more popular. Requests for mommy makeovers rose five times faster than for other cosmetic procedures in 2006, according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.

You’ll soon discover that a Mommy Makeover could just be the best way to “baby proof” your body by offering you a better body contour within a short span of recovery time.
An Orange County native, this wonderful mom wanted a “mommy make over”. She felt that her breasts had lost volume and that her stomach had too much skin. She decided to have an abdominoplasty as well as a breast lift. She had a breast enhancement with 300cc moderate profile saline implants. These breast implants were placed in a partial sub-muscular position in conjunction with a breast lift and areola reduction. The abdominoplasty involved tightening of the muscle (midline split muscles) as well as removing the excess skin.
Despite your best efforts, your breasts, belly and waistline may not completely recover after you have had a baby. The abdominal (tummy) muscles and skin may become stretched; the breasts may sag or lose volume; the nipples may droop or get enlarged; the waistline may lose its curves as the muscles underneath loosen. Unfortunately, none of these natural changes can be improved with diet and exercise. Dr. Sadati is pleased to provide “mommy makeover” plastic surgery procedures specifically designed to help moms regain their firmer pre-maternity figures.
Dr. Sadati has a great understanding of the changes a woman’s body goes through during and after pregnancy. He understands that even if you watch your weight, take your vitamins, exercise, wear a maternity bra 24/7 and follow your obstetrician’s advice to the letter, your body will undergo changes that are difficult and sometimes impossible to overcome on your own.
This is where Dr. Sadati’s experience and expertise with mommy makeover as a mommy makeover surgeon prove to be invaluable. A strong understanding of pregnancy process and its effects on a female body have made him all the more capable of identifying the different areas that need improvement and customizing a surgical treatment plan for each woman. He knows that each woman experiences pregnancy differently, and that there is no “one size fits all” procedure for everyone
During your consultation, Mommy Makeover Surgeon, Dr. Sadati will talk with you in depth about what area or areas are concerning you and what the best methods will be to help. He will take the time to listen to what you have to say and to examine your problem area(s) with great attention to detail so that together, you will come up with a plan for surgery that addresses your individual needs and desires with the goal of achieving a realistic outcome.
While most moms agree that their breasts become full and attractive during their pregnancy, there is a dramatic variation in the degree the breasts change after having a baby. This tends to have little to do with whether a woman chooses to breastfeed.
For a very fortunate few women, the breasts return to their pre-baby shape and size soon after childbirth. The vast majority of women, however, find that their breasts become “empty-looking,” and sometimes the nipples migrate so they’re no longer on the fullest part of the breast. This is technically known as ptosis, or drooping. These sagging breasts are often in need of a breast lift or a combination of a breast lift and breast implants.
Some women, on the other hand, experience an enlarging of their breasts during pregnancy that does not decrease after childbirth and breastfeeding. These women may benefit from breast reduction surgery.
While the breasts undergo significant changes during pregnancy, no other part of the body undergoes as dramatic a process as the abdomen or tummy. Pregnancy stretches the abdominal wall, affecting both the skin and the “six-pack” rectus abdominis muscles underneath. This can result in a spectrum of concerns, including:
- Losing the waistline
- Loose, excess skin in the upper and lower abdomen
- Stretch marks
- Fat in the lower abdomen
- In cases of Cesarean sections, a hard, tight scar above the pubic hairline over which the abdominal fat may hang.
Dr. Sadatii can treat each of these problems using one or more of a variety of procedures. The precise treatment plan requires a customized surgical approach tailored to each specific patient. For example, women who have no stretch marks and a small amount of excess skin can benefit simply from liposuction, while women with significant skin excess with or without abdominal fat most likely need a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) procedure.
Not long ago, most women had to give up their looks if they wanted to become moms. There are the physical stresses of pregnancy, the sleepless nights, and the long days spent shuttling your kids to soccer practice and keeping tabs on their homework.
It only makes sense that with all these changes, the appearance of your body has taken a back seat to caring for your family. But you deserve a little time for yourself, and a mommy makeover in Newport Beach can help you turn back the clock to reveal that younger, slimmer you that may seem like only yesterday.
Doctor Kevin Sadati is a board certified and experience surgeon who is committed to helping you achieve your ideal look. To get your body back on track, request a consultation at his office Newport Beach, Orange County.
Many women are good candidates for this procedure. If you’re like most moms, you try your best to take care of yourself, eating right and exercising whenever you can fit it in, but there might be a few areas of your body that you’re just not happy with. Some might tell you that an aggressive workout and diet plan is all you need to get your pre-baby body back, but the reality is that pregnancy can cause changes in the midsection and breasts that no amount of exercise can correct.
Women in their 20s, 30s, and 40s most often choose mommy makeovers in Newport Beach, Orange County to address their cosmetic concerns. You don’t have to be a young mother to enjoy the benefits of this procedure. In fact, many older moms who would like to improve their body shape also are interested in facial sculpting procedures to create a younger look and erase some of those signs of stress and aging.
Because they combine multiple surgical procedures, mommy makeovers are often more complicated than a stand-alone procedure. Your safety is extremely important and you should trust your makeover to a highly-trained surgeon and Orange County Top Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Kevin Sadati. Addressing all your cosmetic concerns during a single surgical session means a faster recovery time, and you should be able to start enjoying your results sooner.
Dr. Sadati will take the time to carefully tailor your mommy makeover to meet your needs. You can discuss your options in more detail and get a personalized recommendation during your consultation.
- Tummy tucks are the most common part of mommy makeover procedures. Obviously, the stomach area sees the most changes during pregnancy, and for many moms, the abdominal muscles do not shrink back after childbirth, creating a flabby, drooping stomach. This procedure tightens muscle and removes excess skin and fat, with an incision that is generally well-concealed beneath underwear or a bathing suit.
- Another popular choice is breast enhancement surgery such as breast augmentation or breast lift in Orange County. These procedures can create a firmer, more attractive breast shape and contour.
- Liposuction can be used to remove diet-resistant fat deposits in areas such as your hips, thighs, and arms.
- Facial cosmetic procedures such as eyelid lift or mini facelift can take years off your appearance.
Even if you feel a bit self-conscious when you first come in, you’ll probably find your consultation to be comfortable and rewarding. I’ll take time to get to know you and learn about your lifestyle, and I’ll make sure every one of your questions gets answered. Here are a few common questions I get about mommy makeovers in Orange County.
It seems like there are a lot of procedures to choose from. How do I create the mommy makeover that’s right for me?
While there are many procedures that can be performed as part of a mommy makeover, not every procedure will be right for you. For instance, one woman’s mommy makeover in Orange County may combine a tummy tuck with a breast lift, while another woman may need only liposuction and a facial cosmetic procedure to achieve her improvement goals. I will carefully evaluate your body and recommend the procedures I believe will help you the most.
Your recovery period will depend on what procedures are performed as a part of your mommy makeover. Generally, you’ll need to plan for a few weeks of recovery. You’ll need help around the house for a few days, so plan on having your partner, loved one, or close friend nearby to help out. While you may want to go back to caring for your family right away, you need to take it easy to maximize your results and heal properly. You should be able to return to most activities after about 7 to 10 days, and add back in vigorous exercise at 2 to 4 weeks depending on which procedures are performed. Your final results may not be revealed for several months, as scars lighten and swelling subsides.
Absolutely not. Facial sculpting procedures such as eyelid surgery or a facelift can turn back the clock on those sleepless nights and stressful days keeping your family safe, healthy, and happy. Also, some moms consider non-surgical alternatives like BOTOX® Cosmetic, Restylane®, Radiesse®, or laser treatments to compliment their better body tone.
This 30-year-old patient from Orange County, California has been thinking of getting the “mommy make over” for over 2 years, she was unhappy with her body due to pregnancy and gravity. Once meeting with Dr. Sadati for a consultation it was determined that she would benefit from a breast lift with breast implants and a tummy tuck. This patient is two months post-op abdominoplasty and breast augmentation/ mastopexy with saline implants. This patient and her husband are very happy with her new look.
Having a child is probably one of the most fulfilling experiences a person can have. A new child brings joy and life not only to the mother but to everyone around her. Some women, however, feel self-conscious about the effects that pregnancy has had on their bodies. The stretching of the stomach muscles and skin, breasts, thighs, and other areas during pregnancy can lead to loose and sagging skin, stretch marks, and excess fat deposits. To counteract the effects of pregnancy on their bodies, some women choose to have a “ Mommy Makeover,” which is a combination of post-pregnancy plastic surgery, skin treatment, and cellulite removal. These procedures are primarily meant to address the effects of pregnancy that cannot be reversed through diet and exercise.
There are many factors to consider before undergoing a “mommy makeover” ,such as your current health and lifestyle, the areas of your body you want to target, and how post-pregnancy plastic surgery will affect your family life. If you have successfully lost weight after your pregnancy but cannot reverse stubborn pockets of fat and sagging skin, you are probably a good candidate for cosmetic procedures. It is also important to remember that a mommy makeover isn’t just for recent moms—some women wait a few or several years before treating themselves. If you are too busy right now to devote time and research to cosmetic surgery, consider waiting until your children are a little older. You and your doctor can decide how many and what kind of procedures you want to include in your makeover, and develop realistic expectations for your results.
Liposuction is an excellent option for mothers considering post-pregnancy plastic surgery. Liposuction can effectively remove pockets of fat that will not respond to a healthy diet and frequent exercise. New liposuction techniques also enable doctors to perform the procedure much more quickly and with less pain and bruising. So if all those crunches aren’t paying off, consider liposuction as a part of your mommy makeover.
During a pregnancy, the skin and muscle tissue in the abdominal area will inevitably stretch, often causing a looser, “flabbier” tummy. Sometimes even weight loss and rigorous strength training cannot help recapture that flat, firm tummy you had before pregnancy. A tummy tuck, or Abdominoplasty, can restore a taut and toned tummy by removing excess skin and tightening the abdominal muscles. A tummy tuck can be combined with fat removal and other post-pregnancy plastic surgery.
Your surgeon can also perform other body lift procedures as a part of your mommy makeover, including an arm lift, thigh lift, and butt lift.
Many women become unhappy with the shape and size of their breasts after having children, and look to post-pregnancy plastic surgery for help. Pregnancy can cause the breasts to sag and lose their former “perk,” and can also cause an increase or decrease in cup size. For women who want their breasts to look as good as they did before having kids, there are several types of breast surgery available, including breast augmentation with breast implants, breast reduction, and a breast lift. These procedures can be performed in addition to other fat reduction and lift procedures as part of a full mommy makeover.
This 41-year-old patient from San Diego, California came to Dr. Sadati to inquire about multiple procedures. Her main interest was having a tummy tuck with breast lifting and some liposuction. She had been thinking of having surgery for a few years. Once she saw one of her friends that had procedure with Dr. Sadati, she decided to move forward with her procedure. This patient is now 3 months post-op abdominoplasty with liposuction along with a breast lift surgery. This patient is very happy with her results.
Congratulations on being a mom! Children are a blessing. They bring so much happiness to our lives, but can really take a significant toll on our bodies. The stretching of the stomach muscles and skin, thighs, breasts, and other areas can lead to stretch marks, excess fat deposits, and loose sagging skin. Many of today’s moms don’t feel they should sacrifice the way they look just because they’ve had children. More and more women are discovering that there is, in fact, a way to reclaim their bodies – cosmetic surgery.
The changes to the body from pregnancy are not all on the outside. As the baby grows and forces the uterus against the inside muscle wall of the abdomen, those vertical muscles get stretched apart and elongate, which results in a “pouch” on the lower stomach that can’t be fixed with diet and exercise alone. Surgery is required to bring those muscles back together.
Hormone fluctuations during pregnancy can cause the size of the breasts to change. Some women experience extensive swelling, sometimes causing a difference of one to two cup sizes. In addition to the postpartum loss of fat tissue, swelling can cause the skin to stretch and then sag. No amount of exercise can re-tighten that skin. A breast lift or mastopexy can be performed to remove the excess skin and “lift” the breasts to reduce the sagging. As the body prepares to nurture a child, milk glands in the breasts swell and replace fatty tissue. After childbirth these glands shrink and leave extra skin. In this case, a breast augmentation can be performed. You can bring your breasts back to their youthful contour with natural looking and safe implants. Another result from breast feeding can be the change in the size and/or shape of the nipples. Some women’s nipples become larger in size, and more protuberant. Surgery can correct this problem.
Many Orange County women are counteracting the effects of pregnancy on their bodies by choosing an Orange County “Mommy Makeover”. This is a combination of procedures meant to address those effects of pregnancy that cannot be reversed through diet and exercise. A mommy makeover is not just for recent moms, some women wait several years before deciding to treat themselves. Commonly, a tummy tuck is combined with either a breast augmentation, or in some cases a breast augmentation and a lift. Liposuction is also an option for certain areas.
Post-pregnancy surgery should not be done until you have allowed time for your body to fully recover (3 months after breast feeding is ideal). It is important to diet and exercise to get back to your optimal pre-pregnancy weight.
There are many factors to consider before undergoing surgery, such as your current health, the areas of your body you want to improve. Good candidates: you have successfully lost weight after your pregnancy but cannot get rid of stubborn areas of fat and or sagging skin.
Orange County Cosmetic Surgeon Dr. Kevin Sadati, Customizes Mommy Makeovers to Restore Women’s Pre-pregnancy Figures
Many women today are deciding it’s time to reclaim the figure they had before having children. Diplomat of American Board of Cosmetic surgery Dr. Kevin Sadati, FAACS, specializes in Mommy Makeovers—a personalized combination of cosmetic surgery procedures designed to restore a woman’s youthful shape.
The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery reports a 162% increase in plastic surgery between 1997 and 2008. One of the newest trends is the Mommy Makeover—a combination of plastic surgery procedures designed to reverse the effects of motherhood on a woman’s body.
“The two most common complaints among women who have had children are sagging breasts or loss of breast volume, and stretch marks and/or loose skin over the abdomen,” says Dr. Sadati.
“The most popular Mommy Makeover procedures are breast augmentation and tummy tucks,” says Dr. Sadati, who has offices in Newport Beach, Orange County. “Some women also choose a breast lift with or without implants, or liposuction or a facelift.
“Studies have shown that having more than one plastic surgery procedure at a time is no more dangerous than undergoing a single procedure, as long as the surgery does not take more than 4-1/2 to 5 hours,” says Dr. Sadati. “A breast augmentation and tummy tuck, for example, can normally be done in combination.”
“Even women who can’t spare the time or expense of plastic surgery are having Mommy Makeovers with non-surgical facial enhancements like Botox® Cosmetic and facial fillers such as Juvéderm or Restylane,” Dr. Sadati explains. “Each Mommy Makeover is customized to the patient’s individual needs.”
“If you have borne several children, your abdominal muscles and skin may have been stretched beyond the point where they can return to normal without surgery,” says Dr. Parungao, author of A Woman’s Guide to Cosmetic Breast Surgery and Body Contouring.
“A tummy tuck removes excess abdominal skin and fat, then tightens the muscles of the abdominal wall and smoothes the area around the navel,” he explains. “And you’ll get rid of the stretch marks below your navel as well,” Dr. Parungao explains.
“After my tummy tuck, my pants fit so much better around the waist,” says Sonia. “Now I don’t have to hide the belly bulges.”
Like many women, Sonia also experienced a loss of breast fullness after her pregnancies. “Before my children, I was a C cup,” she recalls. “After the kids, I went down to a B, then down to an A cup when I lose weight.”
Sonia chose saline breast implants and is very happy with her results. “I went up to a D cup—one size bigger than my original size,” she says.
Now Sonia is eager to show off her new figure. “I just bought my first nice bikini,” she says. “It feels great! Now I don’t have to hide behind a towel. I don’t think I’m going to be shy anymore.”
“I’m always doing things for everyone else,” Sonia adds. “It’s such a wonderful feeling to do something just for myself.”

Above patient a 60 year old orange county mom, looks and feels great after having a “mommy makeover” several months ago. The mother of three lost 50 pounds after diet and exercise, but still coped with sagging skin and breasts following her weight loss. After interviewing other plastic surgeons, she felt that the team of Dr. Sadati offered both the professional knowledge and compassion to handle her complex case. Once she had a consultation with Dr. Sadati, “I went from being worried and concerned immediately prior to my procedure to being completely relaxed,” she said. “Dr. Sadati is a caring physician.
At the Gallery of Cosmetic Surgery, Newport Beach the “mommy makeover” often includes a tummy tuck, liposuction, breast lift and breast augmentation, using state-of-the art techniques which provide for a faster recovery, less pain and limited time away from home and family. While Dr. Sadati urges all of their patients to avoid heavy lifting, and contact sports for a few weeks after the procedure, he report that women having “mommy makeovers” can return to their roles as “working mothers,” “soccer moms” and “mom about town” within a month of the procedure.
ORANGE COUNTY MOMMY MAKEOVER: LOCAL COSMETIC SURGEON OFFER MOMS A NEW LOOK
Now that the kids are in school and the weather has changed, it is time to take care of mom. You have taken care of the kids all summer running to camp and various activities. If you are a mom in need of a body overhaul, Dr. Sadati has perfected his techniques that will restore your body: “The Mommy Makeover.”

While a “mommy makeover” may be different for every patient, the term was coined several years ago by plastic surgeons dedicated to helping new and not-so-new mothers cope with excess weight gain, sagging breasts and abdominal muscles following childbirth and breastfeeding.
Dr. Sadati encourages women considering a “mommy makeover” to schedule a consultation. “During the initial appointment, I spend as much time as the patient needs to answer her questions and provide detailed information on the surgical procedure, recovery period and what she can expect from her ‘mommy makeover.’” Dr. Sadati explained. Initial evaluation, pre op, surgery, recovery, and all post op care is all done at our Gallery of Cosmetic Surgery offic. “On the surgery day, one of our nurses from the Newport Beach Center of Surgery greets the patient, makes her feel comfortable, answers questions both the patient and her family may have and remains at her side through the procedure itself and time in the recovery room,” Dr. Sadati, as well as members of our team, follow up with the patient by telephone during the first 24 hours after release from the surgery center. Patient will be seen the next day.
According to Dr. Sadati women considering a “mommy makeover” as a back to school gift to themselves do not have to limit surgical procedures to tummy tucks and breast surgery. With summer over, many women will be recovering from sun damaged skin this may be the time to consider non-invasive procedures including Botox, chemical peels, fat transfers and fillers such as Juvederm to rejuvenate their skin for the holiday season. Women often choose to combine their breast lift procedures with saline or silicone breast implants to create the more feminine, hourglass figures they desire. Mommy Makeover in Orange County: Is It for Me?
Mommy makeover is a combination treatment for women who desire to enhance their appearance after pregnancy. Many of Dr. Kevin Sadati’s mommy makeover Newport Beach patients are mothers who wish to achieve a perkier breast appearance, lessen the prominence of stretch marks and excess skin in the stomach area, and/or add more youthful radiance to the face. Because every mother’s aesthetic needs and desires are different, Dr. Sadati works diligently to develop a unique treatment plan for each patient. This approach promotes highly rewarding results that greatly enhance both the appearance and self-confidence of mothers.
During pregnancy and the subsequent breast feeding, a woman’s breasts can change in size and appearance tremendously. Often, the breasts increase several sizes during this time. After the new mother stops breast feeding, the breast tissues gradually return to their previous size. While some women “bounce back” to their pre-baby physiques with ease, many mothers notice that their breasts have lost some of their youthful perkiness and appear somewhat droopy. Fortunately, Dr. Sadati, a renowned breast augmentation Orange County surgeon, can help mothers restore a taut, attractive bustline by performing a breast lift, breast augmentation or a combination of both procedures.
Another body area many mothers feel self-conscious about is the stomach. During pregnancy, the stomach skin expands greatly to accommodate the growing baby. After the delivery, the stomach tissues gradually retract back to their previous position. However, factors such as genetics, size of the baby and the mother’s health sometimes interfere with this process. As a result, some mothers are left with prominent stretch marks and excess stomach skin. For these mommy makeover Orange County patients, Dr. Sadati offers tummy tuck, a procedure that removes the excess tissue and creates a flat, beautiful midriff.
In addition, Dr. Sadati sometimes recommends and performs liposuction, a procedure geared towards removing small fatty tissue deposits from various body areas. Mothers most often have stubborn fatty tissue pockets on the hips, buttocks and upper thighs. They can greatly enhance the appearance of these areas by undergoing liposuction in Newport Beach, California. Dr. Kevin Sadati also offers body lift, a sophisticated procedure recommended for mothers in need of a comprehensive lower body recontouring.
While pregnancy and delivery can take a major toll on a woman’s body, so can the numerous sleepless nights spent caring for the newborn. Many mothers notice that their eyes look constantly tired and the skin has lost some of its radiance. In order to address these aesthetic issues, Dr. Sadati offers many facial rejuvenation procedures, including eyelid surgery and forehead lift. At his offices, mothers can also undergo a range of non-invasive treatments, such as Botox injections, microdermabrasion and chemical peels.
