Procedure Description:

What’s the Right Age for a Deep Plane Facelift? Ameae’s Answer at 72

There is not one. Dr. Kevin Sadati has extended faces well into the 80s because it is vitality and spirit that count, not the numbers on a birthday cake. Freshly retired medical researcher Ameae eloquently illustrated this point at 72. She was not seeking a new face, but rather reiterating an energy and enthusiasm that had never waned. The result was an illusion of disconnect only in the mirror: heavy brows compressing the eyes, and a face and neck that appeared to be slowly migrating downward to convey to others an impression of fatigue or sadness when, in fact, neither was experienced.

The outcome was a harmonious, heart-shaped depiction of facial form closely adapted to her own craniofacial anatomy, achieved with the help of a Temporal Brow Lift to open the eyes alongside the deep plane lift itself. Her eyes once again were large and well-expressed. “I do not appear over-tightened or excessively augmented,” she said. “Rather, I simply appear to be refreshed.”

This represented a reversal of 10 to 15 years. In view of the confidence with which she accepted her results, we would estimate that the effect was closer to 20 years.
