Is a Second Facelift More Difficult When I Am Older?

There’s some truth to the idea that a second facelift is harder than the first, no matter one’s age. Scar tissue and changes in anatomy from the first surgery leave less room for error. This patient of mine had a SMAS facelift ten years earlier. Over time, she began to notice patterns of change returning in her face: laxity in her neck and jowls, drooping of her outer brows, puffiness under her eyes and deflation of her midface.
